Ong Kai Sin

Legal Associate

Kai obtained her LLB in Laws from the University of Manchester in 2017 and subsequently pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Law, London, where she completed her LLM in Laws and the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC). She was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2018. During this time, she also completed an attachment at New Court Chambers, London, a Legal 500-ranked set, where she gained exposure to family law matters.

Upon returning to Malaysia, Kai completed her pupillage at Jerald Gomez & Associates in Kuala Lumpur, where she assisted in matters involving criminal defense, civil litigation, probate and industrial relations disputes. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.

In 2021, she relocated to Singapore and joined Tan Peng Chin LLC as a Legal Manager, where she maintained a leasing portfolio for major Singaporean and foreign landlords and handled tenancy matters for large-scale commercial properties, with a focus on commercial leasing. In 2023, she joined Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, a Tier-1 regional law firm, where she served as a strategic liaison executive within the Disputes Cluster 4, supporting a team of more than 70 lawyers and overseeing more than 20 paralegals and legal secretaries.

In 2024, Kai served as Group Chief Legal Officer of Mobee Group Pte. Ltd., a regional mobility technology start-up headquartered in Singapore, overseeing legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. She was also involved in dispute settlements, employment matters, and the negotiation and preparation of a wide range of commercial agreements.

With experience in both private practice and in-house roles across the region, she brings a practical and commercially focused perspective to legal matters.
